Course description:

This course focuses on developing a skilful teacher who is knowledgeable in pedagogy and classroom interactions. Students are introduced to a variety of pre-school approaches that facilitate a creative and developmentally appropriate curriculum. Students are also able to design, implement and evaluate the learning environment and activities based on the curriculum guidelines and desired outcomes set forth by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports. The DECCE-T is awarded by MMI Singapore. It is recognised and accredited by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Community, Youth and Sports.

Entry requirements:

Students need to have completed three credits in GCE ‘O’ levels (inclusive of B4 in EL1).
