Course description:
Students in this program will gain knowledge of psychology on an intermediary level, where they will develop critical understanding of the interconnectedness of an individual’s cognitive, biological, social and behavioural functions. Dynamic interplay of social contextual and psychological factors influencing the development of personal identity and social attitudes will also be covered. Students will also learn to present research findings, which meet the conventions of report writing in psychology as well as plan, manage and undertake independent, self-directed learning individually and as part of a team. Psychology provides a solid foundation for a wide range of careers. Some examples include clinical psychology; education psychology; counselling; occupational psychology; organisational/industrial psychology; health/sports psychology; psychology in government service (prisons; armed forces; civil services) careers for which psychology is important; human resource specialist/recruitment; training; public relations/advertising/marketing; management; teaching/education.

Applicants should have completed diploma in psychology or any other qualifications as approved by Learning Capital School of Higher Education.
